Following a surveyor's report
suggesting that a large sum is needed to bring both church and hall
premises up to scratch, we have decided instead to aim for new
purpose-built premises on the existing church site, incorporating
facilities for both worship and wider community activities under one
roof. The projected cost is £400,000 which means a lot of fundraising
for a congregation of between 25 to 30 people. We are looking to
friends and supporters from Saughall village, the Chester Methodist
Circuit, and elsewhere, to help us with this mammoth task. We will of
course, also be applying for external grants, but local fundraising and
other such support is important to demonstrate local commitment to this
project.
